Lebron James athlete of the year 2013!

Heat’s forward joins Larry Bird and Michael Jordan as the only NBA players to win this award.

Lebron James has been named athlete of the year by the Associated Press. The player received 31 of 96 votes, being positioned above Broncos’ quarterback Peyton Manning(20 votes) and NASCAR’s driver Jimmie Johnson(7 votes).

Furthermore, James is up to famous athletes such as Carl Lewis, Muhammad Ali, Jesse Oewns and Michael Phelps who received this award in the past.

After the announcement was spread, Lebron declared:
