Lebron is still the number one!

Lebron returns to the highest position of the race for the MVP. He befalls Durant after weeks leading the classification.

Lebron returns! It seems that Heat’s forward begins to show that he is the authentic King among the NBA.

Curiously, his last game was against his rival and friend Kevin Durant and his Thunders, a game in which Lebron had to leave because he broke his nose in a play with Serge Ibaka. He played 33 minutes in which he scored 33 points!. Moreover, he shot with an AMAZING 68’2% from the field, adding 7 rebounds 3 assists and 4 steals. But this is not the only strong performance Lebron had.

Two nights before this game, he scored 42 points in the win over the Dallas Mavericks with an INCREDIBLE 69´6%. And we need to mention that he captured 9 rebounds, he assisted his teammates 6 times and he stole 2 balls. If we look at his two previous games, games in which he scored 37 and 36 points, we’ll see that, in February, Lebron has returned to claim his throne. These are his numbers during this month: 30’8 points, 8’6 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals per game.

If he continues in this line, Lebron would see his name on the top of the list at the end of the season, achieving his 5th MVP award.

¡Lebron recupera el número 1!

Lebron vuelve a situarse en primer lugar en la lucha por ser el jugador más valorado de la temporada. Sucede a Durant tras varias semanas liderando la clasificación.

¡Vuelve Lebron! Y como vuelve…Parece que el alero de los Heat empieza a demostrar que es el auténtico Rey de la liga. 

Curiosamente, su último partido fue frente a Kevin Durant y sus Thunder, encuentro que Lebron tuvo que abandonar tras fracturarse la nariz en una jugada con Serge Ibaka. 33 fueron los minutos que disputó, tiempo en el que consiguió anotar ¡33 puntos! Además, consiguió un ¡acierto del 68’2%! junto con 7 rebotes 3 asistencias y 4 robos. Pero esta no ha sido la única actuación sobresaliente de Lebron.

Dos noches atrás, el alero conseguía anotar 42 puntos a los Dallas Mavericks con un ¡69’6% de acierto! Y a todo esto le sumamos los 9 rebotes, las 6 asistencias y los dos robos. Si nos fijamos en los dos anteriores partidos en los que anoto 37 y 36 puntos, nos daremos cuenta de que en el mes de Febrero Lebron ha vuelto para quedarse en el trono. Estos han sido sus números durante el mes de Febrero: 30’8 puntos por acompañados de 8’6 rebotes, 7 asistencias y 3 robos por partido. 

De seguir en esta dinámica, Lebron volvería a ver su nombre en lo alto de la tabla al final de temporada, y lograr así, su quinto trofeo como mejor jugador de la temporada.

¡Otra vez Durant!

Durant guio a los Thunder en la victoria sobre los Hawks. Además anotó la canasta que le daba la victoria a falta de un segundo.

Lo que está haciendo Kevin Durant este año es brutal. Otro partido anotando más de 40 puntos y ya van 6 esta temporada. ¡Esta vez acabó con un 60% en tiros de campo!

Sin duda alguna, parece el único capaz de hacer sombra a Lebron James en la lucha por el MVP de la temporada. Sin embargo, Lebron está consiguiendo mejores porcentajes de tiro aunque está por debajo de su media de puntos por temporada. También es verdad que su técnico parece estar dosificándole para los playoffs.

Os dejo recordándoos que el día 29 se enfrentarán en Miami en el partidazo de la jornada.

Once again Durant!

Durant guided Thunders in the victory over the Hawks. He also scored the last 2 points that gave them the victory over Atlanta, with less than one second to play.

What Durant is doing this year is quite rough. It’s the sixth time in the season that he scores more than 40 points in a game. He ended the game with an incredible 60% from the field! 

Without any doubt, he seems to be the only one that can fight against Lebron for the MVP trophy. But, Lebron is achieving better field goals percentages, although he is below his career points average per game. It is also true that his coach seem to dose him for the playoffs.

I leave you remembering you all that on 29th they will be face to face at Miami.

Historic Aldridge!

Portland’s center caught on numbers never attained before in the history of the franchise.

The Trail Blazers achieved the victory thanks to the awesome performance of its best player: Lamarcus Aldridge. His 31 points and 25 rebounds triggered the famous strain “MVP! MVP! MVP!” sang by the fans.

The match did not start well for Oregon’s team, especially for Aldridge who ended the first quarter with a dreadful offensive performance scoring just 1 of his 8 shots. The intensity he placed under the boards, 9 rebounds in the first quarter, allowed his team to finish the first quarter with an even match. From then on, the center’s best scorer version appeared. Neither Howard’s defense, nor Casspi’s work overcame the historic night of Aldridge.

There is no doubt that he is among the 5 best centers of the NBA and the 5 fittest players in this beginning of the season. If he follows this way, he should be taken into account on the race for the MVP.

¡Histórico Aldridge!

El pivot de Portland cuajó unos números que nunca se habían logrado en la historia de la franquicia.

Los Trail Blazers lograron la victoria gracias a la espectacular actuación de su mejor jugador: Lamarcus Aldridge. Sus 31 puntos y 25 rebotes fueron los culpables de que su afición acabara el partido dedicándole el famoso  cántico de “¡MVP!,¡MVP!,¡MVP!”.

El partido no empezó bien para los de Oregón, especialmente para Aldridge que cerraba el primer cuarto con un pésimo bagaje ofensivo, anotando tan sólo 1 de sus 8 intentos a canasta.  La intensidad que puso debajo de los tableros, 9 rebotes en el primer cuarto, permitió a su equipo despedir el primer cuarto con el partido igualado.

A partir de ahí surgió la mejor versión anotadora del pívot. Ni la defensa de Howard, ni el trabajo de Casspi pudieron con la noche histórica de Aldridge. Sin duda alguna, está entre los 5 mejores pivots de la NBA, y entre los 5 jugadores con mejor forma en este arranque de temporada. De seguir así sería un nombre a tener muy en cuenta en la carrera por el MVP de la temporada.

Paul Pierce out!

Brooklyn Nets' forward will be out for 3-4 weeks due to a fracture on the third metacarpal of his right hand.

The injury-plague continues in Brooklyn. Pierce joins the list formed by the guard Deron Williams and the shooting guard Jason Terry. The player abandoned the field last friday when his team was defeated by the Houston Rockets.

Pierce is not at his regular level in the beginning of this season. He is only averaging 12'6 points per game with a 38'6 %. The player does not seem to have adapted to his new franchise and the rythm proposed by his  coach, the debutant Jason Kidd. 

Paul will not participate on the first battle for the city that does not sleep. Nets will receive the New York Knicks on Thursday. The Knicks, as Brooklyn, are trying to find its course on the league. Finally, Paul Pierce will not play against his former team, the Boston Celtics, in which he established himself as an star within the league, and where he won a ring in 2008,being the MVP of the finals.

El alero de los Nets de Brooklyn tiene fracturado el tercer metacarpiano de su mano derecha. Se estima que el periodo de baja sea de 3 a 4 semanas.

Continúa la plaga de lesiones en Brooklyn. A las bajas de Deron Williams y Jason Terry, se le une la de Paul Pierce, uno de los fichajes estrella de este verano. El jugador tuvo que abandonar la cancha el pasado viernes en la derrota de su equipo frente a los Houston Rockets.

Pierce no ha tenido un buen inicio de campaña. Sus números se antojan bastante pobres, ya que tan solo está promediando 12’6 puntos por partido con un 38’6 % de efectividad. El jugador no parece haberse adaptado a su nueva franquicia y al modelo de juego que plantea su entrenador, el debutante Jason Kidd.

El californiano no podrá disputar el primer duelo por el control de la ciudad que nunca duerme, y es que este mismo jueves, reciben la visita de unos  Knicks que tratan de buscar su rumbo en esta liga. Además, tampoco podrá jugar el próximo día 10 frente a los Boston Celtics, equipo en el que se consolidó como una de las estrellas de la NBA y en el que ganó un anillo en 2008, siendo nombrado MVP de las finales.
